Fear nothing. Not even the end.

Ragnar Lothbrok was a Danish king and Viking warrior who flourished in the 9th century. His story comes down to us through the Old Norse sagas and the Danish chronicler Saxo Grammaticus, where history and legend run together: raids from Northumbria to the Seine, a crew that would follow him anywhere, and sons who became famous in their own right. He is often linked to the Viking chief Ragnar who sailed up the Seine and besieged Paris in 845.

Legend ends his life in a pit of snakes, thrown there by King Ælla of Northumbria. The medieval poem Krákumál gives him a final song, and its last line is the quote on this shirt: “Laughing shall I die.” No begging, no regret. A man who had lived exactly as he chose, meeting the end on his own terms.

Most of us will never steer a longship into open sea. But every day asks the same question: will you let fear make your decisions? Live boldly enough that you could laugh at the end.
